The difference was significant (P < 0.05)
Methods: 60 patients with avascular necrosis of the femoral head in our hospital were randomly divided into control group and observation group, 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with ESWT alone, while the experimental group was treated with ESWT combined with core decompression. The Harris system score and therapeutic effect were compared between the two groups before and after operation, There was no significant difference (P > 0.05); Harris score of the control group was lower than that of the experimental group at 6 and 12 months after operation, the difference was significant (P < 0.05); the effective rate of the control group (73.3%) was lower than that of the experimental group (93.3%), the difference was significant (P < 0.05)

Treatment of long bone nonunion with high energy extracorporeal shock wave (ESWT)
[Objective] to investigate the effect of high energy extracorporeal shock wave (ESWT) in the treatment of long bone nonunion. [Methods] 20 cases of nonunion after open reduction and internal fixation or plaster external fixation were selected, 2 cases of atrophic type and 18 cases of proliferative type. The shock wave intensity of ulna and radius 24 kV, humerus 26 kV, tibia and femur 28 kV, ulna and radius 1 500 times and humerus 3000 times, respectively, The femur and tibia were followed up for an average of 15.2 months. 8 cases healed after 3 months, 6 cases healed after 4 months, 3 cases healed after 5 months, and 1 case did not heal after 6 months. The average healing time was 3.9 months, [Conclusion] ESWT can be used as an effective treatment for nonunion and delayed union of long bone
